Seminar Report

1. What are the main ideas the participants will keep from this program ?
As leaders we must define the principles, the mission, and vision of our Community.
Redesign our activities to meet the needs and desires of the Jews in our communities.
Be aware of your community’s strengths, weaknesses, needs, demography.
Being Jewish is also fun so let’s make our Jewish Communities fun!
Do not fear NOT reaching consensus: Diversity is healthy and it’s intrinsically Jewish.
Be an agent of change: use new tools, innovate. Be willing to improve, then implement.
Prepare your meetings. Be honest by getting straight to the point and by listening actively.
Effective management techniques are enriched with Jewish notions such as Tzelem Elokim, Or laGoyim, Kiddouch HaChem…
Leaders take risks, make decisions, have courage and vision.

2. What did they appreciate most ?
The friendly and positive atmosphere.
The freedom to discuss and exchange without being judged.
The informal discussions and sharing ideas with other leaders from all over Europe.
The diversity and unicity of the participants.
The fact that I was given a stimulating tool and not a final product.
Becoming aware of the importance of change on a personal and professional level.
The highly qualified staff, the organization, and creativity of the program.
The new models, dimensions and concepts discovered in Community Development.
